What time should campers report in the morning and be picked up at the end of the day?We ask that all campers be dropped off between 8:45 and 9:15. Campers can begin getting picked up at 2:45-3:15. Please make sure your child is ready to exit the vehicle when they get to the drop-off point in the morning. Where should campers report in the morning?St. Bede is located at 1071 Holland Rd. Southampton, PA 18966. All parents should enter the St. Bede campus using the East entrance. If you were in front of the school, looking at the school it is the entrance to your right (opposite side of the building from the church). When you turn into the entrance just continue straight to the right of the building and follow the directions to the drop-off area. Campers should not get out of their cars until they are greeted by one of our camp counselors. Campers will be checked into camp at this time. Parents and any other family members should remain in their cars. Where should I pick my child up at the end of the day?St. Bede is located at 1071 Holland Rd. Southampton, PA 18966. Parents should enter the St. Bede's campus using the same entrance as the morning. Follow the directions to the pick-up area. Your child will meet you at the pick-up area. Parents should not park or get out of their cars. Should campers pack a lunch?Yes, campers should bring their own lunch if they wish. Snacks and drinks will be sold during lunches - Gatorade $2.00, Chips $1.00 and candy $.25 - $2.00. If you do not want your child handling money we recommend that money be put in an envelope with your child's name and the amount on the envelope. Envelopes will be collected in the morning as campers check in each morning. Is the camp indoors or outdoors? Both. We have been running our camp in this fashion for over 25 years. Once the campers are divided into their grade groups they will rotate through activities that take place in the gym and outdoors. Over the past 25 years we have experienced a few excessively hot days. If there is a day that we know is going to be excessively hot we may move the start of camp up by 1-11/2 hour to 7:30 or 8 o’clock to take advantage of the cooler part of the day. Camp will end 6 hours after the designated start time. If this occurs, we will still be available to offer 3 o'clock pick-up for those who need it.
What should campers bring with them to camp?• Basketball – Campers will be using their own ball as much as possible for skill stations and other camp activities/competitions. Please make sure your child’s name is clearly marked on their ball.• Water Bottle – Please bring a full water bottle. There will be water re-filling stations available• Hand Sanitizer • Sunscreen - Parents should put sunscreen on their child before camp. You may want to put sunscreen in your child's bag. Will campers be playing competitive games?Yes, campers will play 1 v 1, 3 v 3, and 5 v 5 daily within their grade groups. I know someone else that would like to attend the camp.
