What will camp look like for this summer?
  • we are still waiting to hear back from the facilities that we use for camp to see if they will be opening their doors this summer.
  • Assuming we are able to use the facilities we will then determine if we are able to run a full day camp (9-3) or half day camps (AM/PM session).
    • Regardless of the camp model, we are going to be required to keep the numbers at a minimum.  This will not be a typical Rising Stock Camp in terms of having 125 campers per week.  The color of the phase we are in when camp starts will help us determine which model we implement.
      • For example - Let's assume the number of campers we have registered for 1 week is 50.  If we are in the Green phase we should be able to accommodate all campers in a traditional 9-3 camp.  If we are in the Yellow phase we may have to split the camp into an AM/PM session. 25 per session.
      • Since our expenses do not change we will have to keep the cost of the camp the same in order to pay the bills.  There are advantages built in to both models. (AM/PM - more individualized attention/Full Day - more hours)
  • One of the things we pride ourselves on is making the camp experience as FUN as possible for our campers. That will not change.  The interactions between our counselors and campers is what makes it so fun.  Our counselors will continue to bring the energy with the smaller numbers.
  • We have a back-up plan in the event that we are not able to use one or both of our facilities.

Refund options for anyone who does not feel comfortable sending their child to camp this summer.

Below is a list of options to consider as alternatives to a full refund in the event that parents are uncomfortable sending their child to summer camp.   A full refund will absolutely be included as an option if none of the other choices appeals to you.   I do understand and respect that everyone has varying opinions of the risks involved with Covid-19, as well as, different circumstances at home regarding family members who can not risk being exposed to the virus.  We have been running summer camps and spring/fall clinics in the area for 25 years and we plan to continue for many years to come.  We are not a big business by any stretch of the imagination.  Since I already put out a lot of money for expenses such as basketballs that we give to each camper and other needed equipment and supplies I guess I am just asking for consideration to some of the other options that will be available as a way to avoid financial stress on my end.    My intent is to make sure everyone gets full value in terms of any refund combination or a camp or clinic experience for your child.

Option 1 - Apply the camp tuition to any future program this summer, fall, or next spring.  Any difference in price will be carried over as credit for other programs.

Option 2 - Apply the camp tuition towards next summers camp guaranteeing this years rates and avoiding any additional price increases.

Option 3 - Apply a portion of your camp tuition ($40) as a deposit for next summers camp securing your child's registration.

Option 4 - 4 private sessions - Individual Instruction on my court or yours.

Option 5 - 5 45 minute shooting workouts on my court using the Gun Shooting machine (Grades 6-12).  Check out the Gun
by clicking Here.

Option 6 - Weekend rental of a GaGa pit.  A camp favorite.  Great for family fun (yellow/green phase) or small birthday parties (green phase). Check out the GaGa pit by clicking Here.

Option 7 - A full refund
